Here's the honest truth: I'm not a traditional iOS developer. I had a Kindle Scribe, I was frustrated that no scanning app could preserve my handwriting formatting, and I had access to AI coding tools. So I asked myself a question:
"How far can I push a great idea into a real product?"
The answer, it turns out, is pretty damn far. OneScribe started as an experiment — me describing what I wanted to AI coding assistants and iterating on the results. No CS degree required. No startup funding. Just a clear vision, relentless iteration, and the stubbornness to keep going until it was actually good.
83 document types. On-device AI. Natural language search. 14 Siri commands. A real app in the real App Store that real people use. All vibe coded from a home office in North Carolina.
Why I'm telling you this: Because the era of "you need a team of engineers to build great software" is over. You need a clear problem, a strong opinion about the solution, and the willingness to iterate until it's right. The AI handles the syntax. You handle the vision.
